Paul

Spring has arrived. And just like how leaves turn green and flowers bloom during spring time, our children will also continue to grow and learn despite the current challenges. Let’s join our children in their exploration and always try to experience and learn something new, and most importantly, have fun together while doing this!
From today, Daystar Academy is delighted to kick off our “Little Explorer” series! Twice a month, we will post videos and articles featuring fun and easy parent-child activities. These videos will be made and shared by the Montessori teachers from Daystar’s CASA program in our Early Learning Center, to help parents practice the Montessori method at home. The activities range from language, culture, math, sports, music, and arts, etc., all designed to help enrich children’s knowledge through first-hand experience. We hope you will enjoy them!

A “Friend” with Two Wheels – Bicycle
Although the campus re-opening date has not yet been set, it is still heartening to see that the situation related to COVID-19 is improving with each passing day. The best way for children to prepare for the day when school re-opens is to exercise their body often, and stay healthy and strong. To achieve this, Mr. Paul from our ELC recommends riding bicycles.
Bicycle is more than just a form of transportation; it can also help build our body stay strong!
Check out the video below to find out why riding a bicycle is good for you!
We hope you enjoyed the video. Mr. Paul would also like to show us more about the bicycles. They may appear more or less “the same”, but in fact, there are various kinds of bicycles with different looks and functions. Bicycles are not just for individual cyclists. You may have seen bicycles designed for two or three people when you have been on vacation. Now that we know there are all kinds of bicycles, let’s take a look at some of the key components of a bicycle.
Wow, we’ve learned so much about bicycles! How about actually riding one on a fine day with your family? We hope you have fun and remember to stay safe!
